I’m sorry to hear that Anon. Sometimes when things like that happen, I like to show the person who is upset just how special they are. You could find an old picture of you holding her when she was a baby and redraw it onto the top of a blank disc and burn her a cd (i’m a 90’s baby so cds still hit home) full of songs that remind you of her or maybe even things you listened to on the radio on roadtrips growing up. Or maybe get a cheap one dollar face mask from the store and a new spring color of nail polish and have a girl’s night. Or maybe even wait until she’s not paying attention and go hug her head, but not too tight, and whisper real close to her so no one else can hear, that you love her and even when she has times in her life where she doesn’t feel love towards you, that you still love her and you will tomorrow and the day after and the day after. No matter what you do, family is your family forever and it’s okay to disagree with them. In fact, it’s better when you are all different people who have something important and unique to teach the others. And remember, she used to look up to you too, and she still might, so try to be as calm and level headed as possible. It’s the only thing that distinguishes you from the younger crowd sometimes. Good luck with her, I really do wish you the best and I hope this helped a little :)
